Subscriptions and fixed expenses

Everything that repeats every month

The subscriptions Not Pato finds on its own, and the fixed expenses you declare yourself. They live together because they answer the same question: how much of your money is already committed before you start spending.

Automatic detection

They show up on their own, unlogged

Not Pato groups your transactions by merchant, measures how often they repeat and how steady the amount is. Out of that it builds the list of what you are paying every month, even the ones you already forgot about.

  • One tap adds it to your fixed expenses
  • What you dismiss never asks again
  • It recognizes monthly, weekly and yearly charges

We found charges that repeat in your bank.

Warning before the charge

You find out before, not after

The warning arrives days before you are charged, which is the only moment you can still do something: cancel, switch plans or simply have the money ready. When the charge lands, it marks itself paid.

  • Days ahead, not on the day of the charge
  • If the price goes up, the warning is how you find out
  • The charge is reconciled with the bank transaction

Rent and the bills too

Not everything recurring runs through a card. The rent you transfer, the electricity bill, the school fee: you declare those once and Not Pato keeps track each month of which ones you paid and which ones you did not.

  • You see how much money is really free this month
  • The amount adjusts when the bill arrives different
  • You mark it paid from the app or over WhatsApp
  • When the bank transaction lands, it marks itself

When the amount changes

It tells you how much it went up from last month

The electricity bill never arrives the same twice, and that is the problem: without a point of comparison, a month that came in at double looks like a normal one. Not Pato shows you the difference against the previous charge, the average of recent months and the range it usually moves in.

  • The change in pesos against the previous charge
  • The average of recent months and the range it moves in
  • Which day of the month it usually arrives

Edit

What makes the difference

Detects without waiting three months

It recognizes known merchants even when the bank descriptor changes every month, which is what normally breaks detection.

No ghosts on the list

If you stopped paying something months ago, it stops suggesting it. A list full of dead subscriptions is no use to anyone.

Splits what arrives bundled

Charges that come in under one name, like Apple's, are split by amount so you can see which product each one is.

Frequently asked questions

No. They come out of your transactions on their own once your bank is connected. If you pay for something with a card you did not connect, then it is worth logging so it makes it into the picture.

See how much is already committed

Connect your bank and go through the full list. Most people find at least one surprise.
